This club offers a unique opportunity for young people to engage with nature, learn valuable outdoor skills, gain knowledge about influential women who have made a significant impact on the environment, and develop entrepreneurial skills. The "Gig Harbor Goddesses" Club meets weekly at various outdoor locations in the beautiful Gig Harbor area. Each session takes place in a different local park, allowing the participants to explore and appreciate the natural wonders of their surroundings. The club aims to foster a love for the outdoors and promote environmental stewardship. The "Gig Harbor Goddesses" Club places a special emphasis on highlighting the accomplishments of women who have made significant contributions to the environment. By learning about these inspirational figures, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental conservation and gender equality. This exposure to real-life role models will empower girls to believe in their potential to effect positive change in their communities. In addition to outdoor and educational activities, the club incorporates entrepreneurship into the program. Students will have the opportunity to develop essential entrepreneurial skills, such as budgeting and financial planning. These skills will be taught through engaging and interactive exercises, enabling the participants to understand the importance of financial responsibility and decision-making. To celebrate the completion of the program, the "Gig Harbor Goddesses" Club offers a thrilling camping experience for the girls. After eight weeks of learning and growing, they will have the opportunity to put their newfound skills to the test in a real outdoor camping setting. This culminating event will not only solidify their knowledge but also provide a memorable experience that fosters camaraderie and a sense of accomplishment. The "Gig Harbor Goddesses" Club promises an enriching and empowering journey for young girls, combining outdoor exploration, environmental education, entrepreneurial skills, and a fun camping adventure.
